Luke Brauer

Luke Brauer started at St Rose being dragged around the school while his older brother attended. He started Pre-K at St Rose in 2005 where he met some of his lifelong friends. While at St Rose he joined Mrs Rizzuto’s chess club, he started playing baseball, picked up a passion for basketball and went on to be student council President his 6th grade year. His fondest memories are of Mrs Rizzuto’s outrageous bets with the students and being principal for the day.
He played baseball and basketball for the hawks and still plays pick up ball with his friends from that hawks team to this day. While at York Catholic, Luke has gone on to play football with those same friends from St Rose. He is also a member of the NHS and student ambassadors at York Catholic. Luke plans to continue his education at Susquehanna University and major in business.

Ethan Higgins

Ethan is going to attend Elizabethtown College, and study Occupational Therapy. He also was recruited to play men’s soccer there. He has always loved a small school atmosphere ( grade school, high school, and now college) where he can feel relaxed, and get to know the teachers and meet new friends. He said -- his favorite memories of St. Rose were the special person lunches ( figures it was about food), and his favorite teacher was Mrs. Connelly/6th grade.

At YC: Ethan was a 4 year varsity starter for soccer, member of the Ping Pong club and Varsity Club, and an Alpha Peer Helper. He still regularly volunteers at the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry. He has been a youth soccer referee since 14.

He’s so excited to move on to the next chapter of his life.

What I loved about St. Rose – The thing I liked most was the ability to play outside. The teachers allowed us to do what we wanted. I came to St Rose from the Lincoln charter and I loved the green fields verses the concrete playground in the city.

 Harris Kohl

YC Football 7-12th grade – Senior year Captain

YC Lacrosse 7-12th grade

Member of Student Council

Member of the National Honor Society

Active Member of the St. Rose Squires

College – Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA

Where he will play football and study Business and/or Environmental Science

What I loved about St. Rose – The St. Rose lessons were slightly behind what I had been learning in public school, but I soon realized why. The lessons at St. Rose focused not on getting through their lesson plans quickly, but on how effectively they had built the foundation on which their students learned.
