Spring Concert and Art Show

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 6:30 PM, St. Rose of Lima will host our annual Spring Concert and Art Show.  This concert will highlight the musical talents of our school band, the singing talents of our students in grades 4-6, the dance moves of the dance club, and the artwork of all students.  A Concert Preview will take place during the day at 9:00 AM.  We hope you will join us for one of our performances!

Change to Last Day of School

Please mark your calendars for Monday, June 1, 2026 at 11:30 AM!   This will be our last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year.  A copy of the tentative 2026-2027 school calendar is attached to this newsletter.  We look forward to seeing you all back here in August next year!!

End of Year Awards Ceremony

On Monday, June 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM, we will hold our End of Year Awards Ceremony for all students in grades K-5.  These will be academic awards recognizing students for their hard work and effort.  We hope you will join us!

Our 80s Dress Down Day is Back! 

On May 21, break out the neon, leg warmers, denim jackets, scrunchies, and big hair — it’s time to travel back to the raddest decade ever! Wear your best 1980s-inspired outfit and show off your retro style! Think: Neon colors, Rock band tees, Side ponytails, Windbreakers,  High-top sneakers, Sunglasses indoors. Don’t forget… the bigger the hair, the closer to the 80s! Remember to follow the guidelines for dress down days in our handbook. The cost is $1.00 per student.  All proceeds will go to support PinkPower York - an organization that is dedicated to educating women about breast cancer.

St Rose of Lima Annual Fund Begins May 22!

St. Rose of Lima Elementary School is launching its Annual Fund Weekend of Giving from May 22–24, 2026 with a goal of raising $10,000 to support two important needs: tuition assistance through our Scholarship Fund and unexpected facility repairs through our General Fund. Every gift helps ensure we can continue providing a strong, faith-based education to all students. Thank you for supporting our school community! Please see attached letter.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Performance 

The time has come for our Performing Stars to showcase their talents! There will be two performances of Willy Wonka on Friday, May 22th at 1:15PM and at 6:00 PM. Tickets will be available to purchase the day of the performances. All tickets will be $5.00. Please contact the office with any questions. We hope to see you there!

Van Transportation for Next Year 2026-2027

In March, Mrs Raetz emailed transportation papers for those families who use our vans/buses to transport their children to and from school.  These papers were to be completed and returned to Mrs Raetz no later than May 1, 2026. If you plan to use van/bus transportation for your child/children next year, please return your completed forms

Saint Wax Museum

Our 1st and 3rd grade students have been working hard preparing to portray their chosen saints. During the event, they will “come to life” and share what they have learned about these inspiring individuals.

Families are invited to attend and walk through the museum to see the students’ hard work in action. It is always such a special and memorable experience for both the students and their visitors! Students are working on their "speech" and posters at school. Please mark your calendars—we would love to see you there. Thank you for your support!

Sixth Grade Sending Forth Ceremony

On Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 4:00 PM, our sixth grade class will have their Sending Forth Ceremony.  The Sending Forth Ceremony will begin with a mass celebrated by Father Celestine, followed by the awarding of certificates.  Immediately afterward, we will host a reception in the Church Hall.  This will provide families with an opportunity to take photos, socialize with one another, and view the sixth grade slideshow.

All parents are encouraged to submit photos of their student from their time at St Rose of Lima Elementary to Mr. Robert High at rhigh@stroseschoolpa.org by Friday, May 15, 2026.  These photos will be included in the sixth grade slideshow.  Please note that photos submitted after this date cannot be guaranteed inclusion in the slideshow.
